Israelis are planting some 200,000 trees as part of Tu B’Shevat festivities. Monday’s festivities were organized by the Jewish National Fund to mark Tu B’Shevat, the new year for trees. The Knesset, which marks its birthday on Tu B’Shevat, held a special session Monday.
