Joseph J. Sisco, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, advised the Israel Embassy in Washington that he will visit Israel within the next two weeks, informed sources said here today. The sources said Sisco told the Embassy he would be bringing the U.S. reply to Israel’s arms request along with “new ideas” to break the present political deadlock in the Mideast. Israeli sources believe the U.S. response on arms will be positive.
