Israeli travellers returning from abroad said today that they had been advised by several airlines and at various European airports to refrain from conversing in Hebrew and to otherwise conceal their identity, as a security measure against terrorists. The travellers mentioned Rome airport and several others, and the offices of a number of airlines as the places where such advise was given. They said the caution was given only to Israeli travellers and that many of them accepted the advise and acted accordingly. They also said they had gained the impression that tighter security measures were in effect at Israeli missions and other installations abroad.
