Israelis dissatisfied with the way the government is handling the economic situation outnumbered those who are satisfied by nine-to-one, according to a public opinion poll published in Maariv Friday. The poll was taken by the Modi’In Ezrachi Research Institute.
It showed that 86 percent of those asked were dissatisfied, 59 percent were “very dissatisfied”, while only 11 percent agreed with government actions to date; 29 percent were “satisfied” and 2 percent were “very happy”.
Asked if the present economic package deal should continue or should be halted, 32 percent said it should be stopped immediately, 28 percent said it should be allowed to run its course for its total six-to-eight months, while 30 percent thought it should be renewed again when the present agreement expires.
