Israel’s absorption minister plans to draw up a long-term program to help ease problems faced by the nation’s Ethiopian immigrants. According to a report issued by Yuli Tamir, about 18 percent of Ethiopian families have one parent and about 60 percent have five or more children. Tamir said a majority of Ethiopian immigrant adults are unable to write or read Hebrew.
