Israel’s ambassador said in a letter to the secretary-general of the United Nations that the Palestinian Authority has recently increased its statements inciting violence against Israelis. Referring to several statements made by Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat that he calls inflammatory, Dore Gold said in the letter to Kofi Annan, “No nation can pursue peace and simply ignore this sort of incitement.”
