Israel’s ambassador to Washington told more than 500 summer interns of the importance of U.S. support of Israel. At the first of two events for Washington interns at the embassy Monday, Ambassador Daniel Ayalon briefed the interns on the Middle East conflict and said he hoped the Palestinian Authority would soon match the “concrete steps” toward peace that Israel recently has taken.
