Israel’s Cabinet approved a proposal to cut $1.46 billion from next year’s budget. By a vote of 14-13 Sunday, the government also increased the deficit target to 3 percent of the gross domestic product from 2.4 percent, and revised the forecast for domestic economic growth next year from 4 percent to 2 percent.
