Israel’s Cabinet approved a revised version of Ariel Sharon’s Gaza withdrawal plan. Sunday’s 14-7 vote came after days of political wrangling over the plan. Immediately after the vote, Israeli Cabinet minister Ehud Olmert said he would order the Israel Lands Authority to freeze any new requests for building in the Gaza Strip.
