Israel’s Cabinet confirmed Zalman Shoval as Israel’s next ambassador to the United States. Shoval, who held the same portfolio under the Shamir government in the early 1990s, will be replacing Eliahu Ben-Elissar, who is expected to be appointed Israel’s ambassador to France.
