Israel’s defense minister said that in addition to providing Iran with ballistic missile technology, Russia was helping Tehran develop chemical and biological weapons. Yitzhak Mordechai charged that Iran’s weapons project included the development of missiles that could cover the entire Middle East and large parts of Europe. Russia has denied Israeli and American charges that it is aiding the Iranian weapons program.
