Israel’s defense minister wants to ensure that civilian members of emergency response teams who are killed in action are recognized as soldiers. Shaul Mofaz reached the decision Monday after three Kiryat Arba emergency response squad members were killed earlier this month in a Palestinian ambush in Hebron, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz.
