Israel’s defense minister warned Jewish community leaders that Saudi terrorist leader Osama bin Laden is seeking to recruit local operatives to attack Israeli targets. Benjamin Ben-Eliezer told a meeting in Jerusalem of the Jewish Agency for Israel that bin Laden is “trying very hard to penetrate into the country through local people.”
