Israel’s Deputy Minister of Health Itzhak Rafael was the guest here of the Department of Health where he reviewed the health and medical situation in Israel during the conversation held with high officials of the Department.
Problems of hospitalization were discussed in connection with the construction of new hospitals. Also touched were the questions of rehabilitation and of the establishment of new institutions for the chronically sick. Mr. Rafael also described the research projects which are carried out by Israeli scientists with the financial aid of the U.S. Government, and U.S. funds. The Israeli Deputy Minister will be the guest of the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland on October 30.
