Israel’s Ambassador Asher Ben Nathan addressed an audience of 1,000 in West Berlin on Thursday while Arabs demonstrated a mile away. The Arabs had police permission for a demonstration but kept away from the hall where the Israeli envoy was speaking.
Mr. Ben Nathan’s audience included a number of Arabs who questioned him. But there were no disorders like those which occurred several months ago in Frankfurt and Hamburg when the Israeli’s address was Interrupted by German leftists and Arab students.
