Israel’s export of phosphates has increased 80 percent in the last year, Mordecai Bentov, Minister for Development, announced here today. Mr. Bentov said that Israel’s annual production of phosphates will soon hit 150,000 tons.
Shipments to Japan will be renewed under an order just received for 8,000 tons at world prices. A final consignment of 30,000 tons is due to go to Hungary shortly. A Hungarian representative is expected here to negotiate a new agreement for the purchase of fertilizers.
