Israel’s Finance Ministry said it plans to allocate an additional $675 million to the Defense Ministry to deal with the Palestinian uprising, now in its ninth month. The new allocations will be financed within the state’s 2001 national budget and will need approval from the Knesset’s Finance Committee, the Finance Ministry said.
