Israel’s first Druse minister resigned. Minister without Portfolio Saleh Tarif, facing bribery allegations, submitted his letter of resignation to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Sunday. Sharon praised Tarif, who was responsible for Arab affairs, for being Israel’s first non-Jewish minister.
