Michael S. Comay, Israel’s first Minister to Canada, yesterday presented his credentials to a representative of the Governor General in a ceremony here in the Supreme Court Building. Lester B. Pearson, Canada’s Minister for External Affairs, participated in the ceremony.
Judge S. H. Locke, representing the Governor General, warmly greeted Mr. Comay. The Israel Minister, in reply, stressed the ties of friendship between Israel and Canada. Minister Pearson expressed the hope that Israel will grow strong and that the Bible would serve as a source of inspiration for further development of the country.
