Israel’s foreign minister is unaware of plans by U.S. churches to divest from Israel. Silvan Shalom, in Cleveland on Monday for the annual General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities, was asked what he thought the damage would be if the Presbyterian and Episcopalian churches went ahead with plans to divest from companies dealing with Israel. Shalom said he had nothing to say. “I have not heard of this,” he said.
