Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett today formally opened an exhibition here of 200 paintings and drawings by the internationally celebrated artist Marc Chagall. The exhibition was arranged by the Union of Israel’s Museums which hopes to acquire some of the works.
Knesset Speaker Josef Sprinzak, members of the Cabinet, the consular corps and others attended the opening ceremonies and viewed the exhibits. Mr. Chagall, who is now recuperating from on operation, is expected here in two weeks as a guest of the government.
