Israel’s justice minister rejected a request for a broader release of Palestinian prisoners. Yosef “Tommy” Lapid, who made the comments following a meeting Monday with Palestinian ministers, said the request cannot be fulfilled because Hamas has said it would return to violence once the three-month cease-fire has ended.
