Israel’s Knesset Education Committee called on the Education Ministry to ban a controversial modern history book that critics say ignores seminal events in the history of Israel, including the Holocaust, Zionism and the founding of the state. The ministry’s director general said she would create a team to examine the complaints and suggest corrections.
