Israel’s Labor Party plans to focus its election campaign around leader Amram Mitzna’s proposal to separate Israel from Palestinian-controlled areas within a year of being elected. The plan was made Monday by the party’s strategy team, in light of public opinion polls showing a majority of support for a unilateral or negotiated separation between Israel and Palestinian areas, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported.
