Israel’s Minister of Education, Zevulun Hammer, arrived here Sunday for on 11-day visit at the invitation of Chief Rabbi Moses Rosen. Hammer will visit the Jewish communities in Moldavia and Transylvania and will confer with Rosen and other Rumanian Jewish leaders on ways to help the religious and cultural needs of the 34,000 Jews in the country.
