Israel’s National Religious Party elected Transportation Minister Yitzhak Levy its new leader. Levy, an avowed hawk, is expected to become education minister in place of the late party leader, Zevulun Hammer, who died of cancer last month. The runner-up in the vote, Shaul Yahalom, is slated to assume the Transportation Ministry portfolio from Levy.
