Israel’s national soccer team was stranded abroad because of the general strike at home. The team was unable to fly home after its 2-0 victory over Cyprus. The Histadrut said it would make special arrangements to allow President Moshe Katsav and some 2,000 Israeli students, who were in Poland this week for the March of the Living, to return to Israel.
