Israel’s new consul general in New York criticized the plans of Ronald Lauder, chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, to take part in a mass rally for Jerusalem on Monday. Alon Pinkas said Lauder’s participation represented political intervention by American Jewish groups in Israel’s internal affairs.
