Israel’s budget for the current fiscal year is expected to run into a deficit totaling 300, 000, 000 pounds ($100, 000, 000), Finance Minister Pinhas Sapir reportedly informed the Cabinet yesterday. The Cabinet held a lengthy discussion on measures to reduce the deficit, including a proposal to cut the Government’s staff by seven percent.
