Israel’s prime minister said he heard “surprising things, things both positive and unexpected” on Iran from his Chinese counterpart. Reuters reported that Ehud Olmert met with Wen Jiabao on Wednesday in Beijing, part of a three-day trip to China aimed at forging stronger ties between the two countries. Wen reiterated China’s support for U.N. sanctions on Tehran over its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment.
