Israel’s Rafael Defense Industries reportedly is developing an air-bag system that could cut down on casualties in helicopter crashes. The Israeli daily Yediot Achronot reported that airbags installed around the underside of the helicopter are activated if special sensors detect the helicopter approaching the ground at unusual speed.
