Israel’s bid for trade ties with the six nations of the European Economic Community, overshadowed for a time by the crisis over Britain’s entry efforts, will be on the agenda for the next council of Ministers of the EEC which will be held here on February 25, it was learned today.
During this meeting it is expected a decision will be taken concerning continuation of negotiations with Israel. These presumably will be resumed in March.
Ambassador Emil Najar of Israel met with Jean Rey, a member of the EEC Commission in charge of its foreign relations. The two officials had a lengthy conversation on current conditions within the European Common Market.
