Israel’s Security Cabinet approved a number of measures to ease sanctions on the Palestinians. The measures, taken before Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s first official visit to the United States next week, will allow raw materials to enter Palestinian-ruled areas, Palestinians to travel between villages in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, fishing off the coast of Gaza and the building of a power station in Gaza.
