The Journalists Association here today protested against the failure of the Israel Government to solve the problem of the newsprint shortage. The protest was voiced in a resolution adopted at the biennial conference of the Association.
Speakers at the conference discussed the position of the Israeli newspapers, which are now appearing in two-page editions because of the lack of paper. The conference called upon the government to take measures to ensure sufficient newsprint for the 18 daily newspapers which are published here in various languages.
