Israel will examine all resolutions or recommendations by the Security Council in light of her stated policy that there can be no alternative to direct talks with the Arabs and direct commitments from the Arab states, it was reported in official circles here today. Specifically, Israel rejects the notion of talks through a mediator or international guarantees as an alternative to direct commitments, the reports said, and will so inform any United Nations representative who may be sent here.
