Israel’s Supreme Court heard a request to halt expansion of the largest Jewish settlement in the West Bank. While the justices did not make a ruling, their comments during the hearing regarding Ma’aleh Adumim on Wednesday indicate that the high court apparently agrees with the Israeli government’s position that the matter of settlements is a political issue that should be decided in final- status talks with the Palestinians.
