Israel’s Supreme Court ruled that the country has the right to detain foreign nationals who are being used as bargaining chips to secure the freedom of missing and captured Israeli soldiers. The decision was handed down in connection with a petition which disclosed that Israel has been holding 10 Lebanese citizens, most of them Hezbollah members, for as long as four years.
