Israel’s top court upheld a law exempting yeshiva students from military service. The High Court of Justice, by a vote of 8-1, on Thursday rejected four petitions against the Tal Law. But the panel also criticized implementation of the law as potentially unconstitutional, suggesting that it could be overturned in the future.
