Israel’s top judoka, Arik Zeevi, was knocked out of the Olympics.
Zeevi, who took a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Games in the under-100 kilogram category, lost two fights Thursday in Beijing, effectively ending Israel’s hopes of a strong showing in judo.
Weeping at his losses, the former European champion told Israeli journalists that he might quit professional sports.
