The Cabinet today approved the composition of Israel’s delegation to the fall session of the United Nations General Assembly which will be headed by Foreign Minister Abba Eban. Eban evaluated the various voting blocs for his colleagues today and observed that there was little hope for any pro-Israel resolution to make headway. In Eban’s absence the Israeli delegation will be headed by Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Yosef Tekoah. There will be five delegates and five alternates. Six Knesset members will attend as advisors, including one from the opposition Gahal faction.
