Israel’s welfare minister will join senior Italian political and business leaders, journalists and Jewish community leaders to strengthen ties.
Isaac Herzog will attend a one-day conference Wednesday in Rome hosted by Italy’s Foreign Minister Franco Frattini to discuss the relationships among Italy, Europe and Israel.
On the agenda of the meeting, which is organized by the Aspen Institute, are topics including how to build a “strategic partnership” between Israel and the European Union; how to improve and broaden economic and other cooperation; and how to assess and combat anti-Semitism in Europe.
