A superior court bench warrant has been issued here for John F. McCoy, 68, accused of writing anti-Semitic letters attacking. Democratic Governor-elect Abraham A. Ribicoff on religious grounds in the election campaign.
The warrant charged McCoy with four counts of holding persons up to ridicule and contempt and printing and distributing abusive and indecent material.
McCoy was accused of being the author of scurrilous letters circulated in the New Haven area. The letters consisted of four pages and attacked Ribicoff, a Jew, and denounced the Democratic Party for nominating him.
