The American Jewish Historical Society today announced that plans for the celebration of the 300th anniversary of American Jewry will be mapped at a special meeting of representatives of national Jewish organizations to be held in New York next Tuesday.
The third centennial observance, bazed on the landing of the first Jews in America, will be inaugurated in September of 1954 and will reach its climax in the pring of 1955, according to Dr. David de Scla Pool, chairman of the Society’s 300th anniversary committee.
