A Bologna court rejected today a West German request for the extradition of a wartime German Army major wanted on charges of ordering the killing of 3,000 Jews in Lemberg in Nazi-occupied Ukraine in 1941.
A. Kroeger, the former major, was arrested last August in Bologna during a visit as a tourist. It was not learned whether the Bologna public attorney would appeal the courts refusal.
