The first prize for sculpture of the Royal English Art Academy here for the year 1935 was won today by Valentnia al Granati, a young Italian Jewess. The prize was handed to her by the British Ambassador in Rome, Sir Eric Drummond.
Miss Granati belongs to a well known Jewish family in Italy. She is the granddaughter of the late Prof. Rafello Moscato, a well known scholar who was for many years Rabbi of Ancona.
