A crisis in Jewish communal affairs precipitated by Fascist opposition to the Zionist movement was temporarily settled today.
On the Italian Government’s request, the Executive Board of the Union of Jewish Communities withdrew its resignation tendered May 2 because of a controversy between Zionist and non-Zionist members.
The Executive, which will remain in office until new elections are held in 1938, issued an appeal to the Jews of Italy for unity.
