The Union of Jewish Communities in Italy today announced a contest for an historical work dealing with Jews who fought for freedom from the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943 to the proclamation of the State of Israel in 1948.
The prize offered is 300,000 lire and the Union will publish the work. A prime qualification is the collation of documents and other historical data dealing with the events within the scope of the work.
