The Union of Italian Jewish Communities is organizing a tour of the former major Nazi concentration camps for former inmates or other Jews who are interested, it was announced here today. During the ten-day tour, the sites of the Dachau, Mathausen and Oswiecim camps will be visited and the remains of the Warsaw Ghetto.
The Union has made special arrangements with the Italian authorities to grant visas for this journey. Normally, it is very difficult to obtain visas for travel in Communist countries.
