The King of Italy today received Salvatore Carlo, president of the Jewish community of Tunis, who called on the King in connection with the anti-Jewish agitation conducted by the Fascist press of Tunis.

Signor Carlo complained to the King that the Tunis Fascists are publishing violent attacks against the Jews, charging them with being Freemasons and anti-Fascists. Assuring the King that these accusations are false and that the Tunis Jews are loyal to the government, Signor Carlo asked the King to stop the anti-Jewish propaganda.

At the conclusion of the interview, the King promised to take measures to stop the agitation of the Fascist press of Tunis.
