Italian Munitions Left Behind As Syrians Flee Israel Territory; “front” Quiet

Large quantities of French and Italian ammunition and several guns used by Syrian Army units as well as Syrian Army rations have been found in Israel territory in and around positions from which Syrian invasion troops have been driven by Israeli Army units, it was officially announced here last night. The situation along the “front,” meanwhile, was quiet today, although some fire was directed by Arab batteries against Ein Gev during the night.

Last night’s communique said that United Nations observers has signed their ### on ammunition boxes to testify that the Syrian Army munitions had been found inside the Israeli Lines. One of the dead Arabs Left behind when the Syrians fled Tel Stella and nearby positions was dressed in full Syrian Army battle dress, but carried a documents, the communique revealed.
